    Abour our Kevin Durant News

Latest news on Kevin Durant, also known as KD, one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history. A two-time NBA champion and Finals MVP, Durant has established himself as one of the best players of his generation.

Durant was born in Washington, D.C. and played his high school basketball at Montrose Christian School in Maryland. He then attended the University of Texas for one season of college basketball before declaring for the NBA Draft in 2007.

Durant was selected second overall by the Seattle SuperSonics in the 2007 NBA Draft. He would go on to spend nine seasons with the franchise, which relocated to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder in 2008.

Durant was a key member of the Thunder teams that reached the NBA Finals in 2012 and 2014. He won the NBA MVP award in 2014 and was named to eight All-Star teams during his time in Oklahoma City.

In 2016, Durant made the controversial decision to leave the Thunder and join the Golden State Warriors, who had just won an NBA-record 73 games but had fallen short of winning a second consecutive championship.

Durant helped the Warriors win the NBA title in his first season with the team. He was named Finals MVP after averaging 35.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game in the series.

The Warriors would go on to win two more championships in the next three years with Durant as a key contributor. He was named Finals MVP again in 2019 after averaging a triple-double in the series.
