    Latest news on the planet Venus, the second planet from the Sun and the sixth largest. Venus' orbit is the most circular of any planet in the solar system. It is similar in size to Earth and has the same amount of daylight. However, the surface of Venus is very different from Earth's. It is covered in thick clouds of carbon dioxide and has a surface temperature of 462 degrees Celsius.
